🇺🇸 North America
North America sees multiple major tours featuring dynamic contortion acts throughout November.
Cirque Kalabanté: Afrique en Cirque: A celebrated Canadian/Guinean production, this show celebrates West-African culture with an emphasis on gravity-defying acrobatics and contortion elements. Catch it across the U.S. early in the month, with stops in Jackson Hole, WY (Nov 2), Boulder, CO (Nov 7), Asheville, NC (Nov 14), and Newport News, VA (Nov 20). Expect vivid color, live Afro-jazz, and phenomenal energy.
Cirque du Soleil: Echo: The world-renowned company brings its latest spectacular to Oracle Park in San Francisco, CA starting November 20. While focusing on massive acrobatics like teeterboard and juggling, Echo is a large-scale contemporary circus where contortion sequences are a customary and expected part of the ensemble's repertoire.
Cirque Italia: Water Circus Silver: This traveling "Aquatic Spectacular" explicitly promises contortionists among its unique acts. The show takes place on a custom water stage and will be in Independence, MO from November 21–24.
🌍 Global Performances
The search for exemplary contortion talent extends far beyond the U.S. border this November.
ERA2: Spirit of Shanghai: For traditional excellence, look no further than Shanghai Circus World, China. This production blends traditional Chinese acrobatics—a genre where contortion is a hallmark—with modern stage technology. ERA2 features thrilling skills and runs through the end of the month.
Cirque du Soleil: Alizé: History will be made in Berlin, Germany, as CdS launches its first permanent European show at the Theater am Potsdamer Platz, beginning in November 2025. Like its big-top cousins, this new permanent resident production will feature artistry and acrobatic performances that customarily include contortion sequences.
Great Moscow Circus (Australian Tour): The classic Russian-style repertoire, known for its aerial and balancing acts, traditionally includes contortionists. The Australian tour will be performing in Coffs Harbour, NSW (Nov 7–16) and Alstonville Showground, NSW (Nov 21–30).
Whether you're looking for cultural celebration, aquatic spectacle, or classic circus tradition, November provides a strong global showcase of flexibility and physical artistry.
