Europe: The Heart of the Circus World

Europe is a buzzing hive of activity this month, serving as a primary showcase for international talent.

In Spain, the 14th Festival Internacional del Circ Elefant d'Or in Girona (February 26 – March 2) is the place to be. You can catch the incredible Troupe Tengri from Mongolia, who integrate contortion into high-impact teeterboard acts. Also featured are the high-intensity adagio of Duo Meraz, the mesmerizing aerial pole work of Duo In Flow, and the daring aerial straps of Duo Kamikaze.

Germany continues its tradition of cabaret-style excellence. In Berlin, catch Maxim Voronin at the Wintergarten Varieté performing in "Flying Lights" until February 15th, alongside the energetic Icarian duo, the Ethio Brothers. In Saarbrucken, Tsetseglen Odgerel is performing a stunning trio contortion act at the Alexander Kunz Theater throughout the month. Meanwhile, K.Juma is currently bending the limits at Flic Flac in Duisburg, and Philipp Tigris is bringing his unique style to GOP Bremen.

For those in France, keep an eye out for Ju'defreaks, who will be performing a fusion of contortion and fire-breathing in La Foux d'Allos on February 18th. In London, the versatile Ryan Yeomans will be appearing across various cabaret stages throughout the month.
