Philipp Tigris was born in 1974 as the son of a physiotherapist and a doctor of orthopedics.
At the age of 7, he began to train contortion auto-didactically.
He made his first appearances at the age of 12. Shortly afterwards he was discovered for the vaudeville scene and it followed engagements on all well-known vaudeville stages in Germany. Tigris developed into one of the leading male contortionists in Europe.
In addition to his extreme agility, he not only worked as an air artist on the partner trapeze and air ring, he also developed an unmistakable Hulahoop performance, which won him the Budapest Prize at the International Circus Festival in Budapest in 2008.
Since 2014 Philipp Tigris has been a member of the award-winning circus show LIMBO and toured Australia for several months.
