Where we're headed by 2028
To support aspiring and professional contortionists with the tools, knowledge, and networks they need to succeed — from elite training guidance and business education to platforming under-represented performers and coaches worldwide.
To support aspiring and professional contortionists with the tools, knowledge, and networks they need to succeed — from elite training guidance and business education to platforming under-represented performers and coaches, including those in marginalised regions. We aim to build a global, inclusive contortion community where artistic expression and career sustainability go hand in hand.
A world where contortion is recognised, respected and resourced as a global art form — where every performer, regardless of geography or background, has access to the training, community and opportunities they need to thrive.
Contortion is celebrated globally in pockets across the world, making information fragmented and hard to access. Contortion Space provides a crossover place for coaches, performers and newcomers to share information and increase opportunities for those who struggle to find them.
Providing grassroots information and teaching that raises the overall standard of training and performance — with the goal of creating healthier, ethical and more sustainable contortion training practices that are accessible to as wide a range of people as possible.
Helping to amplify voices and conversations of those who might not have had the opportunity previously outside of the influence of social media, through other digital and physical formats.
Providing those involved and interested in contortion with digital and physical tools to help them train, coach and learn better — helping them make the most of their time investment on the road to becoming performers and coaches.
Making art from art by backing and supporting creative projects that further amplify contortion as an art form, inside and outside of the performance context.
Creating an open-source digital resource for learning, understanding and researching the art of contortion — preserving its history for future generations.
